Attacking and Securing Industrial Control Systems (ICS)

Matthew Cetlinski

This training will help you understand how ICS devices work, analyze their weaknesses, learn how to attack them and design strategies to protect these environments. It is aimed at security professionals who want to understand ICS, improve their skills in this field or specialize in ICS/OT/SCADA security. It will take them from the fundamentals of ICS security to advanced attack and defense techniques. We will cover attack and exploitation techniques on the following ICS protocols: ModBus S7comm DNP3 OPC/OPC-UA Profinet This training provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain hands-on experience in penetration testing of these type of devices and systems as all the exercises will be over real PLCs and HMI/SCADA. In order to improve understanding of how PLCs can be exploited, this training also includes a module on how to program a PLC in ladder logic. On the defensive side, we will cover strategies to securing ICS environments.
